Un monto de 540 millones de pesos es lo que se invertirá en la creación del Polo de Desarrollo para el Bienestar en Huamantla, Tlaxcala, obras que se estiman sean terminadas para febrero de 2026, según informó este jueves 28 de agosto el secretario de Economía federal, Marcelo Ebrard.
La gobernadora de Tlaxcala, Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, informó durante la Mañanera del Pueblo que los trabajos para la construcción del Polo del Bienestar en Huamantla ya arrancaron formalmente, esperando finalizarlos el 28 de febrero de 2026.
Según la mandataria de Tlaxcala con la construcción de este polo de bienestar se espera crear 5 mil empleos directos e indirectos, fortaleciendo la economía del estado y beneficiando a los municipios históricamente rezagados.
En cuanto al avance de la inversión en el polo, Lorena Cuéllar compartió: “Se tiene el 80% del espacio comprometido con seis cartas de intención en etapa de compra-venta de terrenos, así como la negociación con cuatro empresas nacionales y extranjeras interesadas”.

En proceso de licitación están Tapachula I y II, Chiapas; y Teapa, Tabasco; y hay 14 polos más que ya fueron aprobados por la presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, para su construcción, los cuales son: Seybaplaya, Campeche; Juárez, Chihuahua; Durango, Durango; Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México; Celaya, Guanajuato; Tula, Hidalgo; AIFA, Hidalgo; Ciudad Modelo, Puebla; Topolobampo, Sinaloa; Altamira, Tamaulipas; Huamantla, Tlaxcala; Tuxpan, Veracruz; Morelia, Michoacán; y Chetumal Quintana Roo.
Mientras que en proceso de evaluación están ZM Mérida, Yucatán; Lázaro Cárdenas-La Unión de Isidoro Montes de Oca, Guerrero; Zona Carbonífera, Coahuila; y Hermosillo, Sonora.
Otros polos propuestos que aún no han sido evaluados se encuentran en Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, CDMX, Colima, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí y Zacatecas.
Supuestamente con los Polos de Bienestar se prevé la generación de 300 mil empleos con inversión de 1.5 por ciento del producto interno bruto (PIB) en la administración de Sheinbaum.
