En julio de 2025, 34.1 millones de personas trabajaron en la informalidad en México; cifra que representó un incremento de 1.6 puntos porcentuales, respecto al séptimo mes del año pasado.
Con ello, el porcentaje de población ocupada que trabajó en condiciones de informalidad pasó de 54.5% a 56.1%, informó el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI).

Según la Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo (ENOE), en julio pasado la población desocupada fue 1.7 millones de personas en el país; esto fue una disminución de casi 85 mil respecto al julio de 2024. Así la tasa de desocupación bajó de 2.9 a 2.8%
No obstante, la desocupación afectó mayormente a las mujeres, pues el número de ellas que se encontró en esa condición pasó de 685 mil a 708 mil.

En su reporte de este 28 de agosto de 2025, la Población No Económicamente Activa fue de 41.4 millones de personas; un alza de 1.7 millones de personas. En total, 5.1 millones se declararon disponibles para trabajar, pero no llevaron a cabo acciones para hacerlo.
En México, la tasa de condiciones críticas de ocupación bajó de 36.7 a 33.3%

En julio pasado, hubo 60.8 millones de personas ocupadas; de los cuales, la mayor parte (41.1 millones) fueron trabajadores subordinados y remunerados.
La mayor parte de los ocupados se concentró en el sector servicios (44.1%), seguido del comercio (19.7%), la industria manufacturera (16%), la agricultura, ganadería, silvicultura, caza y pesca (11.0%), la construcción (7.8%) y otras (0.7%)
