José Ramiro López Obrador, Secretario de Gobierno de Tabasco y hermano del ex presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, minimizó, el 18 de noviembre de 2025, la problemática de personas desaparecidas en dicha entidad, al afirmar ante el Congreso local que parte de los casos se explican porque algunas de las víctimas “andaban de parranda”.
“Muchas veces desaparece una persona y los familiares van a la Fiscalía y ponen la denuncia y ahí se queda. Muchas veces estas personas se van, algunas fuera del Estado, a veces regresan a sus casas y no dan a la Fiscalía el aviso de que la persona ya llegó porque muchas veces, ahora sí que, como dice la canción, ¿verdad?, andaban de parranda”, comentó “Pepín”

En la misma intervención, López Obrador expuso que, de acuerdo con el “histórico” del padrón nacional, en Tabasco hay 4 mil 807 personas con reporte de desaparición y que 2 mil 771 han sido localizadas, cifra que incluye casos de administraciones anteriores.
A partir de esos datos, derivó que permanecen no localizadas poco más de dos mil personas en la entidad. El funcionario estatal sostuvo que la falta de notificación cuando una persona reaparece “distorsiona” los padrones y explicó que, en la Administración de Javier May Rodríguez, se han localizado decenas de personas, tanto con vida, como sin ella.

Según su versión, que destacó ante diputados locales, las familias tabasqueñas se sienten “muy agradecidas”, incluso cuando sólo reciben los restos de sus seres queridos.
“Aunque no se regrese al ser querido con vida, aunque se regrese como se regrese, se sienten muy agradecidos ya tener los restos para llevarlos a una cristiana sepultura”, agregó.
