La mañana del martes 23 de julio fue detenido un sujeto identificado como miembro del Cártel Arellano Félix (CAF) luego de que éste asesinó presuntamente a otro hombre en la colonia El Tecolote de Tijuana.
El hecho se registró a las 11:28 de la mañana, agentes de la Policía Municipal localizaron sobre el suelo a una persona de sexo masculino, la cual fue identificada como Ignacio de Jesús Moreno Gómez, quien tenía una lesión de bala en la cabeza y ya no contaba con signos vitales.

En el lugar también se encontraba una mujer de iniciales CDG, quien tenía detenido a uno de los responsables a quien se identificó como Mario Diego Reyes Chávez, presunto integrante del Cártel Arellano Félix.
En otro hecho doloso, a las 14:59 horas del mismo martes fue localizado el cadáver de un hombre, que no ha sido identificado, en el Ejido Ojo de Agua. El cuerpo presentaba huellas de violencia y estaba envuelto en una cobija color beige y una bolsa color negro.

Una mujer, que no ha sido identificada, fue hallada sin vida a las 13:00 horas del martes en el Ejido Lázaro Cardenas, según el reporte fue un hombre quien informó que mientras realizaba trabajos de maquinaria en el cañón encontró el cuerpo boca abajo, el cual tenía manchas de sangre en la espalda y a la altura de la nuca.
La víctima vestía pantalón tipo deportivo color negro, camisa tipo resaque color oscuro; tiene cabello ondulado color rojizo, es de complexión robusta y tez morena clara.

A las 03:00 de la madrugada de este miércoles 23 de julio en la colonia Nueva Tijuana de la delegación Centenario se localizó a un hombre sin vida con huellas de violencia, el cual estaba atado de pies y manos.
